1950〜60年代頃のフレンチヴィンテージ・ワークジャケット。
フランス軍や国家機関に所属する職員へ支給されていたとされる、コットンツイルのワークウェアです。
長年の着用と洗濯によって、濃いブルーから淡く乾いたブルーへと複雑に退色した一着。
襟や前立て、袖、ポケットなど、身体の動きや摩擦が生じる部分には強いアタリが現れています。
色の濃淡が不規則に重なり合う表情は、意図して作ることのできない自然なフェードアートです。
フロントには胸ポケットと2つの大型パッチポケットを配置。
高密度に織られたコットンツイル生地と、実用性を重視した堅牢な縫製から、当時の官給ワークウェアらしい機能美が感じられます。
肩幅と身幅にゆとりを持たせた直線的なシルエットで、シャツやカットソーの上から自然に羽織ることができます。
全体に残る色むら、擦れ、汚れ、ペンキ跡や細かなダメージは、この服が実用品として長く使われてきた時間の記録です。
衣服でありながら、一点の抽象画のような表情を持つ、フレンチヴィンテージならではの一着です。
内側にはオリジナルの白い布タグが残っていますが、経年と着用によって印字は消失しています。

Naturally Faded Blue
A French vintage cotton twill work jacket dating from approximately the 1950s–60s.
This type of functional workwear is associated with personnel employed by the French military and other government institutions.
Years of wear and washing have transformed the original deep blue into a complex range of dry, pale blue tones.
Pronounced fading appears around the collar, placket, sleeves and pockets, following the natural movement and friction of the body.
The irregular layers of color create a surface that cannot be reproduced artificially—a natural piece of fade art formed over time.
The front is constructed with one chest pocket and two generously sized lower patch pockets.
